On 23-24 January 2014, the Institute of European Democrats took part in the Green Jobs Summit 2014 organised by the Progressive Economic Policy Foundation in cooperation with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and the Green European Foundation.
The conference provided a venue for leading progressive politicians and experts to exchange ideas regarding a Green New Deal after the parliamentary elections of 2014 in Hungary. The event was supported by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and the Green European Foundation.
Loizos Afxentiou, Advisor to the Minister for Agriculture and the environment of Cyprus, and Alfonso Martinez Cearra, Director General of Bilbao Metropoli-30, gave their contributions to the discussion on behalf of IED.
