On the 20th October 2012, the Institute of European Democrats co-organized with Europaiko Komma a highly interesting conference that attracted high participation and the attention of the media. The success of the conference was indeed secured by its high-level interventions and its topical subject. After the opening addresses from the Cypriot Minister for Foreign Affairs Mrs. Erato Kozakou Marcoullis, geopolitical and energetic implications of Aphrodite gas field discovery and exploitation were discussed by distinguished representatives from academia, institutions, and private sector.
