Conference on "The European Union and the future of the Mediterranean region"
Date and Venue: July 08, 2008 (09.45 - 13.30) - Hotel Renaissance, Rue du Parnasse 19, Brussels
IED organises this event on the eve of the forthcoming European Summit organised by the next French Presidency that will launch the new Union for the Mediterranean.
The “IED Mediterranean Conference” will be structured in two parts: the first session will focus on “From the Barcelona Process to the Barcelona Process - Union for the Mediterranean: the latest political developments in the EU Agenda”; the second one will deepen the political pespectives and the point of view on the subject from the southern and eastern partner countries.
This important dossier of the EU political Agenda will be discussed in Brussels with various important European and International experts (find below a draft programme of the conference).
