IED is sponsoring a Conference on: "EU Energy Security Strategy and its significance to Lithuania".

The Institute of European Democrats has organised a meeting focused on the political situation in Chile. This initiative has been held in Brussels on December the 5th, 2008.

The meeting was titled "The case of the Chilean democracy: in between rightwing and leftwing populisms in Latin America".

Conference: "EU foreign relations with the emerging global powers of Asia"

The Institute of European Democrats has organised a conference on "New political perspectives for the Mediterranean region - Security challenges and new opportunities: a view from the eastern Mediterranean".

The conference took place in Larnaca, Cyprus on October 18, 2008.

An International Conference on "the European Union and the future of the Mediterranean region" took place in Brussels on the 8 July, 2008.

IED will organise in July an International Conference on "the European Union and the Mediterranean Region".  The conference will take place in Brussels on the 8th of July, 2008.

A round table, organised by the Institute of European Democrats – IED, on the “European Union and the knowledge society” has been held in Brussels on Tuesday, May the 6th 2008.
This event launched the 2008 activities of the IED, that has as primary goal to promote a better understanding of the core aspects of the European integration process.
